Kat Graham makes her directorial debut with The Move, a psychological short film she also co-produced and stars in alongside Lex Lauletta. Written by Happy Death Day screenwriter Scott Lobdell, The Move explores the fracture between intimacy and technology when a woman invites her boyfriend to move in with her—only for their relationship to unravel entirely through screens.
Following the launch of her AI platform KatAI, developed in partnership with Google Cloud, Graham now turns her creative focus toward the darker side of human connection. Though no AI was used in the film’s production, AI-powered tools were integrated into its marketing campaign—most notably through a dynamic poster created with motion animation from a single still frame.
The Move will be available on Google TV, Apple TV, Fandango at Home (Vudu), YouTube, Roku, Tubi, Xumo, and Vubiquity beginning July 11, 2025. The film is a haunting meditation on identity, trust, and the glitching lines between what’s real and what’s programmed.

Hello, When I visited the British Airways Manchester Office In England, my entire business trip planning process felt remarkably orderly and serene. Timings, comfort, flexibility, and seamless transfers were all important to me because I was purchasing tickets for a business trip. The employees patiently listened to my needs and gave me a warm welcome. They gave me clear explanations of all the travel regulations and assisted me in selecting flights that would best fit my meeting schedule. The way they recognized the value of convenience and time for business travelers was what most impressed me. I left the office with the assurance that my trip would be easy, fruitful, and stress-free.
This short film sounds really interesting, especially how it explores technology's impact on relationships. It reminds me of how we use tools like free online protractor for precise angles in projects, blending tech with everyday tasks.

I’m always on the hunt for new independent shorts, so seeing the announcement for "The Move" definitely piqued my interest, especially since it’s tackling that concept of human connection in such a minimalist way. It's refreshing when a director trusts the audience to follow a story through visual cues rather than just heavy-handed dialogue. I actually stumbled onto the trailer while I was checking out some reviews for a plinko casino because I’ve been looking for platforms that actually support indie creators through different sponsorship programs. Hopefully, the cinematography lives up to the stills they’ve released so far, because those subway shots look incredible.
